Uploading leads via CSV

Import your prospect list into Outlio using a CSV file. Map your columns to our fields and start sending campaigns in minutes.

Prepare Your CSV File

Before uploading, make sure your CSV file has a header row with column names. At minimum, you need an email column. Additional columns become variables you can use in your emails.

Example CSV structure
emailfirstNamelastNamecompanyNametitle
sarah@acme.comSarahJohnsonAcme IncCEO
mike@techco.ioMikeChenTechCoCTO

3

Map your columns

Leads imported!

Your leads are now in the campaign and ready to receive emails when you launch.

Duplicate Detection

Automatic Deduplication

Outlio automatically checks for duplicate email addresses within the campaign. If you try to upload a lead that's already in the campaign, it will be skipped. You'll see a summary of how many duplicates were found after import.

Required vs Optional Fields

Required

  • Email - The lead's email address

Recommended

  • First Name - For personalization
  • Company Name - For personalization
  • Title - Job title/role
  • Website - Company website

Clean Your Data First

Before uploading, remove any invalid email addresses, test emails, or competitors from your list. Sending to bad addresses hurts your sender reputation and deliverability.

Custom Fields

Any additional columns in your CSV become custom fields that you can use as variables in your emails. For example, if you have a column called "industry", you can use {{industry}} in your email templates.

Common custom fields:

industrycompanySizelinkedinUrllocationpainPointicebreaker
